BizMums Crewe Networking Group to Launch in May
— Supporting and inspiring mums in business —
A child friendly networking group – BizMums – which supports and motivates mums in business is to launch in Crewe on Wednesday 24th May 2017.
Part of the national BizMums social enterprise, BizMums networking events provide a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in which self-employed mums can share what they do and make new connections.
Ongoing training opportunities and business guidance are also provided, with each monthly meeting featuring a ‘theme of the month’ presented by a guest speaker. With practical themes like organisation, marketing, money and growth, mums can also learn valuable skills to take back and apply to their own businesses.
The monthly meetings are open to self-employed mums, and the child friendly locations and format means little ones are welcome to come along too. Mums with children at school, or who are all grown up are also welcome to attend.
Host for BizMums in Crewe, Caroline Dodd comments: “We understand that it is all too easy for mums to feel isolated running their own business. BizMums is a supportive community of self-employed mums who inspire and motivate each other. Here they can meet other mums and have the opportunity to learn and grow their businesses in a friendly environment.”
The Crewe BizMums group will launch on Wednesday 24th May 2017 at 10:30am taking place at Rookery Wood Farm, Weston Road.
May’s monthly theme is Money and guest speaker Lucy Cockram from Lady of Finance will be on hand to share tips and advice on money management in business.
Michelle Childs, Founder of BizMums adds: “In September 2012 I happily discovered I was pregnant with my second child. I was steadily growing my business alongside my part-time job, and taking care of my (then) 3-year-old son, Harrison, who was also in nursery part-time.
“This flexibility meant I could attend networking events to promote my business but I knew once my baby was born, this would be difficult. I also knew I couldn’t be alone in this situation so I launched BizMums child friendly networking. The result was phenomenal and we now have groups in all corners of the UK. I couldn’t be prouder of how BizMums has grown.”
