Crewe Market launches Christmas Promotion

img_5210As excitement about Christmas advertising grows throughout the nation, Crewe Market announced their Christmas campaign today. Aimed at promoting the range of gifts available at Crewe Market and to encourage Crewe residents to buy their Christmas gifts at the various stalls.

Crewe Market was first established back in 1848 and for almost 150 years has been in the heart of Crewe’s Town Centre. There are currently over 26 stalls in the indoor market depending on the day of the week, with up to 20 stalls in the covered and outside markets. The collective offer of stalls provides a great range of products and an enjoyable shopping experience with a chance to settle down at the market cafés, all set in the heart of Crewe Town Centre.

print-adMarkets’ popularity across the UK has grown in recent months and Crewe Market hopes to attract residents to benefit from the Christmas promotion. The traders have come together with Crewe Town Council to create a number of events for adults and children to add to the excitement during the festive season. The aim is to raise the profile of the market and encourage Crewe residents to go and pay a visit for their Christmas Shopping.

Dave Broadgate, Market Trader at Crewe Market comments, “There is so much to choose from at Crewe Market. People can buy their turkeys and cakes as well as gifts for the family.” Dave continues, “The range is great value and the quality is excellent.”

Cllr Simon Yates (Leader Crewe Town Council) states, “The Town Council wanted to support Crewe Market over the Christmas period as it really is a focal point for activity during the festive season.” Cllr Yates continues on, “Historically speaking, Crewe Market is of significant importance to the town and we want to encourage our residents to support the local community and traders as well as to take advantage of the prizes, children’s’ activities and stalls that are there.”

This Saturday, 26th November will see fun and games for children with Father Christmas, Elf and The Grinch from 10am – 11am. Followed by Father Christmas in his Grotto every Saturday throughout December. For adults, there are lot of prizes to be won, on a daily basis when buying Christmas presents. There are also plans for many other kids activities and games, which will be announced shortly.

Crewe Market is open six days a week; Monday 9am – 1pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9am to 3pm and Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm.
