Dementia Friends Events
Bentley Rotary and Cheshire East Council have teamed up to create a series of Valentine themed events across Crewe, challenging what is really meant by unconditional love. The new partnership sees the launch of a one year dementia engagement program of activities and a conversation starter to help make Crewe a more dementia friendly town.
One aim of the partnership is inclusion and making mainstream experiences more accessible to people with dementia and their carers. Diary dates start on 13th February at Legends with crafting memories, remembering good times and love shared by making a memory love tree from vintage materials, the 15th sees a tea dance at Barnies Social Centre, followed on the 17th with a special Valentine painting workshop, with the dementia sufferer and their partner, at Beechmere Extracare Village. All activities are free to attend.
