Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, Crewe Lyceum welcomes back Cannon & Ball
Crewe Lyceum have announced that legendary double act Cannon & Ball will return to star in this year’s pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the fairest panto in all the land.
Fresh from a record-breaking production of Aladdin which won rave reviews from audiences and critics alike, Tommy and Bobby are back by popular demand, returning to Crewe Lyceum in another unmissable family production full of even more laughter, magic and mayhem.
One of Britain’s funniest and most successful double acts, Cannon and Ball are best known for their comedy variety show The Cannon and Ball Show, which ran for nine years on ITV. In a career spanning 50 plus years they have achieved a string of honours that includes them among the all-time greats of show business. They have never stopped working and are constantly touring with their own comedy shows, summer seasons, plays, and pantomimes.
Last year’s spectacular production of Aladdin saw Tommy and Bobby bring their brand of laugh-out-loud comedy to Lyceum audiences and they will star as the Wicked Queen’s Henchmen in this year’s hilarious panto, perfect festive entertainment for all the family.
Staged once again by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, and the team behind the last four record-breaking Lyceum pantomimes, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will feature all of the traditional pantomime ingredients Cheshire theatregoers have come to expect in a fantastic new production of the well-loved fairy tale story.
Michael Harrison, managing director of Qdos Entertainment said: “After the success of Aladdin, it makes perfect sense to ask Tommy and Bobby to come back this December. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will feature even more comedy, sensational music and a few surprises along the way plus some brand-new comedy routines audiences won’t have seen before.”
Gordon Millar, Crewe Lyceum’s Theatre Director said: “We are delighted for audiences that Cannon & Ball are returning, due to popular demand, to spread panto joy and magic in Cheshire and Staffordshire. They are the consummate comedians who will make this year’s Lyceum panto yet another unmissable festive family treat.”
With over 27,000 theatregoers attending the annual Crewe Lyceum pantomime each year, audiences should book now for the fairest panto of them all, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which runs from 16 December 2017 to Sunday 7 January 2018.
